Sensitive Skin Exfoliant & Facial Mask

How to Use Exfoliating Scrub and Facial Mask for Sensitive Skin

Getting a facial at a spa can be expensive, and you never know if the skincare they use will be beneficial or irritating to your sensitive skin. If you’ve visited a spa and enjoyed the experience of a facial, you can follow the same steps for an at-home facial with your favorite sensitive skin exfoliant and mask that you know won’t irritate your skin.

You'll need the following:

  • Exfoliating gentle scrub
  • Facial mask, preferably with Kaolin clay and Dead Sea mud
  • Moisturizer for your skin type
  • Anti-aging eye gel or eye cream for sensitive skin to help minimize fine lines
  • Soft towels
  • Optional: candles and soft music

Step 1:
Start by applying the sensitive skin exfoliating scrub. The purpose of the exfoliant is to remove surface dead cells. This is especially beneficial for aging, dry, and acne-prone skin. Dead cells can accumulate, clog pores, and make your skin appear dull and unhealthy. Use an exfoliating scrub that is gentle, preferably with fine pumice. You can use the sensitive skin exfoliant daily or as needed. Apply to your skin and rinse off.

Step 2:
Follow with a sensitive skin facial mask with Kaolin clay and Dead Sea mud. These ingredients are rich in skin nutrients. After applying, either take a shower to allow the steam to absorb the mask deep into your skin or use an at-home steamer. Rinse and pat dry.

Step 3:
Use an eye repair gel with sodium hyaluronate or eye cream to help with under-eye circles or fine lines.

Step 4:
Finish by applying a sensitive skin moisturizer suitable for your skin type.
